The vehicle was surging, hesitating and generally running poorly.

The owner advised us that the fault mainly occurred after the vehicle was driven for more than 25 minutes. It also had poor fuel economy. The problem was not present when the owner's wife drove the car.

We drove the vehicle for about 30 mins to experience the fault. We found surging/lacking power under medium to heavy acceleration. It also had an intermittent rough idle that felt like a lack of fuel (eg weak fuel pump).

There was not a problem until the vehicle was driven for more than 20 minutes.
