The vehicle would not start after coming from another workshop where it had been serviced and the engine bay washed.

Following engine bay washing, the vehicle would not crank via the ignition key. The starter relay only received a 9 V signal from the ECU during start attempts. Bridging the starter relay would allow the engine to crank and run normally.
