The vehicle runs normally under light load but will not rev beyond approximately 2000–2200 rpm in most situations. On rare occasions, it operates normally. The engine light flashed momentarily once. Three other workshops had attempted repairs without resolving the fault.

The engine exhibited a hard rpm limit at around 2200 rpm, behaving as if electronically governed, similar to a neutral safety rev limiter. This limitation occurred both stationary and under load.
