The customer reported that the ignition key could not be turned.

The ignition barrel was stuck, and the vehicle could not be started. The customer had previously experienced this issue on multiple occasions. The Lexus dealer had advised replacing the complete steering column lock and key switch assembly at a high cost, and on this occasion the NRMA was only able to temporarily get the vehicle started by tapping the steering lock ECU. The vehicle was later towed in for diagnosis.
