The vehicle intermittently enters limp-home mode, displaying the check engine and DSC lights.

The customer reported that the vehicle first went into limp-home mode in January. After clearing the fault, the issue returned weeks later. Each time, the vehicle would enter limp mode with the engine and DSC lights on, but no codes were stored in the engine ECU or ABS module. The only code recorded was U2197 – Invalid Data for Vehicle Speed in the HIM module. Limp mode could sometimes be cleared with a key cycle, though multiple attempts were often required.
