A persistent knocking noise is present from the engine. The engine runs slightly rough.

The knock was present hot and cold and sounded like classic injector knock. No DTCs were stored. Injector correction for cylinder 2 appeared slightly different to the rest, but injector coding, relearn procedures and injector service made no change. Mechanical integrity was then suspected.
