The customer reported that during an automatic regeneration of the DPF, the DPF blew a hole out the side. The heat and flames from the failure melted the wiring loom to the transmission module, causing extensive shorting of wires. The vehicle later became a no-start.

The DPF failure and subsequent fire damaged the transmission harness. After the loom was replaced and a new DPF fitted, the engine started and briefly ran before stalling. Thereafter, the vehicle became a no-start and consistently logged injector driver circuit fault codes.
