The customer reports that the vehicle was lacking power and had entered limp mode.

The vehicle would start only after allowing the lift pump to prime the low-pressure circuit, followed by an extended crank. Once running, the engine idled normally and could be driven under light load. However, when placed under moderate or heavy load, the malfunction indicator light (MIL) would illuminate and the vehicle would enter limp mode.
