Noise from the engine on start-up and at certain engine speeds.

The customer reported an abnormal engine noise occurring at cold start and again between approximately 2700–3200 rpm when free-revving. The noise was not affected by the auxiliary drive belt and sounded internal, located near the front of the engine above the oil filter. Oil pressure readings were normal, but the noise was consistent with cavitation or restriction in the oil system.
