Engine light on and the car is hard to start.

Vehicle presented with long cranking, unstable idle and stalling unless the accelerator is held. A camshaft position sensor fault code kept returning, and the cam sensor was replaced with no change. Timing waveform capture and subsequent mechanical checks confirmed the engine timing was out.
