Customer Complaint

The intake camshaft reluctor ring, which was press-fitted to the camshaft, had rotated on the shaft. This caused the camshaft position sensor to provide incorrect timing data to the ECM, resulting in erratic variable valve timing operation, poor running, no idle capability, and multiple camshaft timing-related fault codes.
