The vehicle was presented with ABS and traction control warning lights illuminated on the dashboard. The speedometer was also inoperative.

The ABS module had failed internally and was not communicating on the CAN network. The initial secondhand replacement module was sourced for the incorrect vehicle specification, which introduced a U0102 lost communication with transfer case control module fault code. A correctly specified secondhand ABS module resolved all faults.
