The 4x4 and ABS warning lights were on the dash after a battery replacement, and the 4x4 mode switch would not operate.

A scan was carried out and communication faults were found. The transfer case control module could not be communicated with, the 4x4 warning lights were on, and the ABS light was also illuminated. The vehicle otherwise started and drove normally.
