The vehicle's central locking was staying locked even if the central console switch was pressed. It would unlock and then lock again.

The only way to get in was to open the door as soon as the remote was pressed – to unlock it before it locked again.

Once the owner got into the vehicle it would not start. The factory security system was triggered and vehicle energised.
