The vehicle was intermittently going into limp mode with the engine warning light illuminated and a noticeable loss of engine power.

The limp mode was very intermittent, sometimes returning a few days after clearing and at other times taking up to a week to reappear. Initial complaint was associated with a power loss and engine warning light, with the concern later progressing to loss of drive on initial start and at idle when stopped at intersections, recovering on an ignition cycle.
