The DDE fault light illuminated intermittently, sometimes causing loss of turbocharger operation, slow acceleration and limited engine speed.

The intermittent concern could occur for 15 to 50 km before clearing for days or weeks. Previous repairs included repeated cleaning of the exhaust pressure lines and sensor, replacement of the EGR valve and turbocharger, and installation and calibration of a used turbocharger actuator.
