The customer replaced the battery after noticing a sulphur smell coming from the original battery. After the replacement the vehicle would not start, the airbag warning light was illuminated and a Service Airbag message was displayed.

The vehicle was presented after the customer had jump started it using the failing battery and then replaced the battery, during which the alarm activated. The vehicle would not start, the airbag warning light and a Service Airbag message were displayed on the instrument cluster, and the remote central locking had stopped working on both keys.
