The customer reported that the vehicle cut out while being driven and would not restart.

The vehicle cranked over but would not start. The check engine light did not illuminate every time the ignition was switched on and the tachometer did not move during cranking. The engine had started and run twice at very low speed but would not rev and cut out again. An ignition coil had already been replaced by the customer before the vehicle was assessed.
