Camshaft timing information was needed while fitting a new cylinder head and timing-chain kit.

A Toledo 304745 timing-tool kit had been bought for the job. Suppliers listed it for the Navara, but the kit was marked for Nissan/Renault M9R engines rather than the YS23DDTT. The crankshaft positioning pin and the Autodata procedure did not match what was on the engine. Marks made during dismantling were still available.
