The engine was difficult to start when cold and would flood on the first start of the day.

The cold-start problem had worsened over several weeks until the owner could no longer start the vehicle. Roadside assistance reported that it was badly flooded and needed the accelerator held down to start. Once running and revved a few times, the engine ran normally. The fault returned only after an overnight cold soak.
