Poor performance, lacks power on take off.

A lack of power was suspected. The transmission was slipping, but it drove okay otherwise. There was a huge gap between take off speed and the next gear. The traction control and ABS light appeared on the dash. The customer advised that this light had been on for six months with no apparent effects.
