Vehicle would not crank over, road service swapped starter relay over with another in relay/fuse box and then vehicle cranked but would not stop cranking and did not fire up. The cranking did stop when key turned off.
The patrolman disconnected the battery and reconnected it and the vehicle started up and ran, they said that there were 19 fault codes in the systems but they had cleared them.

Owner had replaced the Starter relay with a new one. The next day it played up again, this time cranked but would not fire up, only way to stop the cranking was to turn the key off.
The owner disconnected the battery and reconnected it after some time and after a few attempts it started and ran.
Drove it to the workshop for diagnosis.
