Code Information

In vehicles fitted with an electrohydraulic or solenoid controlled park brake system, the park brake valve solenoid controls the hydraulic pressure that applies and holds the park brake. The control module drives the solenoid and monitors a sense input circuit that feeds the solenoid state back to the module so it can confirm correct operation. DTC C1180 sets when the module detects a failure on the sense input circuit of park brake valve solenoid number 1, such as an open circuit, a short to ground or power, or a feedback voltage that is out of the expected range.
