About C1468

C1468 is a manufacturer-specific chassis diagnostic trouble code. It belongs to the C-prefix family of codes, which covers chassis, braking, steering, suspension, or stability-control faults.

When C1468 is stored, the module has detected a signal or supply voltage lower than the expected operating range.

Scanning & clearing: Chassis (C) codes are stored in the ABS, traction control, or stability-control modules. An enhanced or OEM-level scan tool is usually required to read and clear them.

C1468 is a manufacturer-specific code. The same code string on a different make may have a different meaning. Always confirm the code's definition against the vehicle's service information for the specific make and model under test.

Code Information

The C1468 fault code indicates the suspension control module has detected a general electrical fault on the low side of the front damper circuit. On platforms where the damper solenoids are driven by H bridge or high side switching topology, the module switches the low side (ground return) of the damper coil to control current flow. The low side switch sinks current to ground when the damper is commanded; this code is set when the module detects an electrical fault on the low side circuit that does not classify cleanly as short to battery, short to ground, or open. The fault may be intermitten...
