Accelerator Position Sensor Out of Range
C1750 — Accelerator Position Sensor Out of Range
System: Chassis | Type: Manufacturer-Specific | Make: Ford
C1750 is a manufacturer-specific chassis diagnostic trouble code recorded for Ford vehicles. It belongs to the C-prefix family of codes, which covers chassis, braking, steering, suspension, or stability-control faults.
When C1750 is stored, the module has detected a plausibility fault — the measured value is in the electrical range but is not consistent with expected operating behaviour; and a sensor-related fault — the reported value from the named sensor is out of spec.
Scanning & clearing: Chassis (C) codes are stored in the ABS, traction control, or stability-control modules. An enhanced or OEM-level scan tool is usually required to read and clear them.
C1750 is a manufacturer-specific code. The same code string on a different make may have a different meaning. Always confirm the code's definition against the vehicle's service information for the specific make and model under test.
DTC C1750 is a chassis code set by the ABS or traction control module when the accelerator position signal it receives is out of the expected range or not plausible against factory specifications. The module uses accelerator position to coordinate traction control and speed control functions with driver demand, receiving the signal either directly or over the vehicle network from the PCM. The code therefore points to a pedal sensor reading outside its calibrated voltage window, a wiring or connector fault in the sensor circuit, or implausible accelerator data arriving from another module, rath...
