Code Information

The PRNDL inputs provide the control module with the position of the transmission range selector, Park, Reverse, Neutral, Drive, and the lower gear ranges, through several switched signals from the transmission range sensor or shifter assembly. The module reads the combination of these parallel inputs to decode the selected gear and verify that the pattern is valid.
