Code Information

The suspension ride control module controls the electronically adjustable shock absorbers on vehicles fitted with adaptive damping. Each shock contains an electrically operated actuator solenoid that the module drives to vary damping force. DTC C1916 is set when the module detects that the left front (LF) shock actuator control circuit is shorted to ground, meaning the control wire is grounded when it should not be.
