When B1525 is stored, the module has detected a short-circuit (voltage pulled to ground or to supply) in the monitored circuit.

Code Information

The B1525 fault code is set by the Body Control Module (BCM) when it detects a short to battery voltage on one of the keyless entry circuits. The BCM expects each input pin associated with the keyless entry function (receiver signal lines, keypad inputs, door lock control switch returns) to read either a controlled low pulse or a clean five volt level depending on the design, and stores B1525 when battery voltage is detected on a circuit that should be either grounded or held at the reference voltage.
