Code Information

The Body Control Module (BCM) or door control module monitors the output driver circuit that controls the left side outside mirror motor, which is the passenger side mirror on right hand drive vehicles. DTC B1641 is set when the module detects that one of the mirror motor driver outputs is shorted to battery voltage, meaning the wire is being held high by an external source rather than being controlled by the module's output stage.
