Code Information

The Battery Energy Control Module (BECM) on hybrid and electric vehicles continuously monitors the total terminal voltage of the high voltage traction battery pack. DTC B1676 is set when the BECM measures a total pack voltage that is outside the acceptable operating range, either too high or too low for the current state of charge and load conditions. This is a pack level monitor, distinct from individual module voltage monitoring, and is used to protect the inverter, motor, and DC/DC converter from out of specification supply voltage.
