The B1950 code is set when the Driver Seat Module (DSM) or seat memory module detects a failure in the feedback signal from the rear seat cushion up/down potentiometer. This potentiometer rides with the rear cushion lift mechanism and reports the current vertical position of the rear of the cushion back to the module, which uses the value to drive memory recall, prevent travel past mechanical limits, and coordinate seat motion with other axes.
