Code Information

The Climate Control Module monitors the A/C post heater temperature sensor signal voltage to determine the air temperature being delivered into the cabin downstream of the evaporator and heater core. The sensor is a negative temperature coefficient (NTC) thermistor that returns a voltage between the 5V reference and ground proportional to temperature. DTC B1967 sets when the module detects that the signal wire has been pulled to ground, causing the signal voltage to read at or near 0V which would indicate a falsely high temperature.
