The Body Control Module (BCM) monitors the right rear turn lamp circuit each time the indicator stalk is activated, and continues to monitor for unexpected voltage when the lamp output should be off. DTC B2536 is set when the BCM detects battery voltage on the right rear turn lamp circuit at a time when the lamp should not be powered, indicating the circuit is shorted to a battery supply somewhere between the BCM driver and the lamp socket.
