Code Information

This DTC is stored by the Restraints Control Module, or RCM, also called the airbag or SRS control module, when it cannot get valid communication from the driver side crash sensor over its dedicated non SCP link. These front and side crash sensors usually communicate on a specialised serial safety line rather than the main vehicle bus, giving the RCM early impact data to decide on airbag and pretensioner deployment.
