When P1114 is stored, the module has detected a signal or supply voltage lower than the expected operating range.

Code Information

The P1114 code is set when the PCM sees the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor B signal voltage below the normal operating range. The IAT sensor is a negative temperature coefficient thermistor, so its signal voltage falls as air temperature rises. A low input therefore corresponds to an implausibly high indicated air temperature, which usually means the signal circuit is shorted to ground or the sensor has failed with very low internal resistance rather than the air actually being that hot.
