Code Information

Battery voltage is supplied to the cylinder 2 fuel injector through the fuel pump relay or an injector fuse, and the Engine Control Module completes the circuit by switching the low side to ground for the required pulse width. Between injection events the module expects the control wire to rest near battery voltage through the injector winding, and during an event it expects that wire to be pulled down close to ground, so the ECM can identify a circuit fault by comparing what it commands with what the line actually does.
