Code Information

The cylinder 3 fuel injector is fed battery voltage through the fuel pump relay or an injector fuse, and the Engine Control Module completes the circuit by switching the low side to ground for the calculated pulse width. Between injection events the control wire normally rests near battery voltage through the injector winding, and during an event it should be pulled down close to ground, allowing the module to detect a fault by comparing the commanded state with the actual state of the line.
