Code Information

The Engine Control Module runs a smooth running or cylinder balance function that measures crankshaft acceleration after each cylinder fires and trims the injected quantity for that cylinder up or down so all cylinders contribute equally. Each cylinder has an allowed correction range, and the module also monitors how hard it is having to work on the injector drive itself to achieve the commanded delivery.
