P1262 is a manufacturer-specific powertrain diagnostic trouble code recorded for Audi vehicles. It belongs to the P-prefix family of codes, which covers engine, transmission, emissions, or fuel-system faults.
Scanning & clearing: A generic OBD-II scan tool will usually read and clear powertrain (P) codes. For live data, freeze-frame capture, and bi-directional tests you may need a more capable scan tool that supports the vehicle's ECM protocol.

When the Engine Control Module fires an injector it does not simply apply voltage for a period of time, it ramps the current up to a defined target within a defined window and then holds it. On direct injection engines that ramp is driven from a boosted high voltage supply generated inside the module, and on port injection engines it is driven from battery voltage through the injector winding.
