Code Information

The accelerator pedal position sensor 1 provides the ECM with the primary signal of how far the driver has pressed the accelerator pedal in the electronic throttle system. DTC P1275 sets when the ECM detects a fault in the sensor 1 circuit, where the signal is out of its normal range, open, shorted, or otherwise implausible. Sensor 1 receives a 5 volt reference and a ground from the ECM and returns a signal voltage that rises with pedal travel.
