Code Information

DTC P1349 sets when the ECM commands a change in left bank cam timing but the actual camshaft position does not follow the target, indicating the VVT system is not achieving commanded timing. This is a mechanical or hydraulic performance fault rather than a simple sensor circuit problem. When stored the engine may idle rough, hesitate, lack power, and show increased emissions.
