This fault code is set when the Restraints Control Module (RCM) detects an open circuit in the left hand front (LHF) seatbelt pretensioner deployment loop. The RCM continuously monitors the deployment loop resistance to confirm the circuit is intact, and if it sees an open condition, meaning high resistance or a loss of continuity, it stores this fault. An open circuit means the pretensioner cannot receive its firing signal, so it may not deploy in a collision.
