Code Information

The airbag control module (ACM) monitors the electronic front end crash sensor (sensor 1), a forward mounted accelerometer that reports frontal impact severity so the ACM can decide whether and how quickly to deploy the front airbags and pretensioners. DTC B0100 sets when the signal from this sensor falls outside the expected range, which can point to a fault in the sensor itself, an open, short, or high resistance condition in its wiring, or a problem with how the ACM receives and interprets the signal.
