Code Information

The airbag control module, also called the sensing and diagnostic module (SDM), continuously monitors the electronic front end crash sensor (sensor 1), a forward mounted accelerometer in the front crush zone that reports frontal impact severity so the module can time front airbag and pretensioner deployment.
