About P1275

P1275 is a manufacturer-specific powertrain diagnostic trouble code recorded for Nissan vehicles. It belongs to the P-prefix family of codes, which covers engine, transmission, emissions, or fuel-system faults.

Scanning & clearing: A generic OBD-II scan tool will usually read and clear powertrain (P) codes. For live data, freeze-frame capture, and bi-directional tests you may need a more capable scan tool that supports the vehicle's ECM protocol.

P1275 is a manufacturer-specific code. The same code string on a different make may have a different meaning. Always confirm the code's definition against the vehicle's service information for the specific make and model under test.

Code Information

On these Nissan applications P1275 is a manufacturer specific fault relating to the fuel pump control circuit. The ECM controls fuel pump operation through a fuel pump relay or control module and monitors the circuit to confirm the pump responds when commanded. DTC P1275 sets when the ECM detects an abnormal voltage or a lack of expected feedback in the fuel pump control circuit, indicating the pump is not operating as commanded. When the code is set the engine may crank but not start, stall, suffer low fuel pressure, or run poorly under load, and a warning lamp may illuminate.
