Code Information

When ignition is on and the parking light switch is commanded on, the Body Control Module (BCM) continuously monitors the current draw and voltage feedback on the right hand parking light circuit. DTC B1099 is logged when the BCM detects either an open circuit condition (no current draw indicating a burned out bulb or broken wire) or a short circuit (excessive current or voltage out of the factory specified range indicating a short to ground or short to battery) for longer than the module's internal threshold, and the fault persists with system voltage in the normal operating range.
