Code Information

The Powertrain Control Module, Transmission Control Module, or ABS and stability module receives the PRNDL signal, which reports the selected transmission range of Park, Reverse, Neutral, Drive, or Low, over the CAN network. On a shift by wire vehicle this comes from the Electronic Shift Module, and on other vehicles from a transmission range sensor.
