Code Information

The Sensing and Diagnostic Module (SDM / Airbag Control Module) continuously monitors the second-row left frontal Stage 3 deployment loop for correct electrical characteristics. DTC B0033 is set when the SDM detects a fault in the Stage 3 deployment control circuit, such as circuit resistance outside the calibrated range, an open circuit, or a short to earth or battery voltage. When this condition is present, the SDM determines that reliable deployment of the Stage 3 inflator cannot be guaranteed and disables the affected restraint circuit, illuminating the SRS warning indicator.
