Code Information

The Airbag Control Unit (ACU) continuously monitors the crash zone sensor circuits for correct communication, voltage supply, earth integrity, and internal sensor status. DTC B1033 is set when the ACU detects an open circuit, short to power, short to earth, or invalid/no signal from the crash zone sensor during self-diagnosis or while the vehicle is operating. When this fault is present, the SRS is disabled to prevent incorrect or unintended airbag deployment, and the airbag warning lamp is illuminated.
