Vehicle was due for timing belt service interval. We carried out the job as required and later that afternoon when we went to shift the car it half fired but conked out.

When cranked again the engine had no/low compression & would not start.

It was immediately assumed something had gone wrong with the timing belt job.

The engine turned over with little or no resistance or compression.
